Flubenol is a broad-spectrum dewormer used for poultry and pigs. It contains flubendazole, which is effective against various gastrointestinal worms, including roundworms, gapeworms, and tapeworms2.

For poultry, Flubenol is mixed into feed and administered over seven consecutive days2. It has no egg withholding period, meaning eggs can still be consumed during treatment.

Ivermectin is an antiparasitic medication used to treat infections caused by certain parasitic worms, scabies, and head lice. It works by paralyzing and killing parasites in the boddy. Off label often used as a pour on wordmer for poultry.

Coxiprol is an anticoccidial medication used to treat coccidiosis in poultry and turkeys. Coccidiosis is a common intestinal disease caused by protozoan parasites, which can severely impact young birds.

• Effective against major strains of coccidiosis, including Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima, and E. brunetti.

• Dosage: Mixed into drinking water—40ml per 20L for severe outbreaks, 20ml per 20L for moderate cases, and 10ml per 20L for follow-up treatment.

• Treatment duration: Typically 5-7 days, followed by 7-14 days at a lower dose.

• Withholding period: Meat-producing birds must not be sold for slaughter within 5 days of the last treatment. Eggs from treated birds must be discarded during treatment and for 10 days afterward.

Iodine is a powerful antiseptic that has been used for wound care for decades. It effectively kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi, helping to prevent infections.

However, while iodine is beneficial, it should be used with caution:

• Povidone-iodine (Betadine) is commonly used for wound cleaning and dressing.

• Excessive use can slow healing by damaging healthy cells.

• Iodine dressings can help with wound debridement (removal of dead tissue) and minimize odor.

• Prolonged exposure may lead to skin irritation or affect thyroid function.

Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is a mineral compound with various uses, from relaxation baths to gardening and health remedies.

Uses & Benefits:

• Muscle relaxation: Often used in warm baths to ease sore muscles. In poultry it may help in a warm bath when hens are eggbound

• Stress relief: Some believe it helps reduce stress and promote sleep.

• Laxative: Can be taken orally (in small doses) to relieve constipation.

• Gardening: Used to improve magnesium levels in soil for plant growth.

• Skin care: Sometimes used in exfoliating scrubs.

Safety & Considerations:

• Not scientifically proven to absorb magnesium through the skin.

• Oral use should be done cautiously—excessive intake may cause digestive issues.

• Avoid if you have kidney disease, as excess magnesium can be harmful.

Louse powder is an insect repellent used to control lice and mites on horses, farm livestock, and poultry. It is not an insecticide—instead, it deters pests rather than killing them.

Key Details:

• Effective against lice and red/white mites.

• Suitable for cows, horses, donkeys, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, and poultry.

• Not suitable for dogs and cats.

• Application: Spread 5-10g over affected areas or bedding.

• Duration: Lasts up to 7 days if kept dry.

• No withholding period for meat or eggs.

Natural and Gentle Scaly Leg Oil is a blend of vegetable and fish oils, biotin, Vitamin E, Sulphur with garlic to help heal.

Leg Mites are different to Red Mites, they burrow underneath the scales of chicken legs and cause discomfort, irritation, inflammation. It will get worse if left untreated. 

With Leg Oil you will notice a difference within days, a second treatment will be of added value to break the breeding cycle.

It is recommended by vets to worm poultry at least 2 times per year.
Aviverm will not affect the growth rate or egg production of birds, nor will it affect fertility or hatchability of fertile eggs.

Simple to use - just to add to your chooks drinking water at a rate of 1 ml per 9 kg of body weight.
E.g. 1 x average sized chicken like a Brown Shaver would weigh approximately 2.5 to 3 kg.
If you have 3 x hens in your flock, only 1 ml of Aviverm is required to treat them all.

1 ml added to 1 litre of water (based on approximately 300mls per hen per day) should see them right for about 8 hours.

A follow up treatment 5 to 7 days later is important, as this will get any eggs that have hatched & break the worms breeding cycle.

It is recommended to remove all drinking water from your flock a couple of hours prior to giving them the Aviverm treated water, this way your hens will all get a good even dose. Make sure there is no other drinking water present before or during treatment.

 Tip: As Aviverm may taste sour to your chooks taste buds, try adding some Manuka honey or Cranberry juice to the treated water to cover up the sour taste. Your chooks will love it.

IMPORTANT: Withholding period for eating eggs or birds produced for meat is 7 days after treatment! Read instructions on bottle thoroughly before use!
