The mechanism is activated as the animal treads onto the plate to reach the bait, this releases the door and closes the trap. There is no way of the animal getting back out once the trap has been fired.
Once baited and set this trap can be safely left with no risk of injury to children, birds, or animals and when a target species is captured, the trap and animal can be handled with complete safety.

This rat trap is made of high-quality plastic and galvanized metal. This trap is very easily to be set in only one move. When touched it will close with great power - watch out for your fingers!
Due to its special design, the metal bracket, which has to make sure the rat gets trapped, has only to travel half the distance. Thanks to the super strong spring, the bracket will close very fast. Very good catching results!
